Free IWB after school workshops 2010

These workshops are available for any teachers, regardless of the type of the interactive whiteboard. The content is presented so the skills and techniques can be used with any type of IWB software. All workshops are held at the Concept AV offices in West Perth. A maximum of 2 participants from one school may attend any course. Workshops available in 2010 include:

Primary Maths on the IWB: Discover a range of useful free resources and software techniques that will help you teach mathematical concepts in number, space, chance and data, and measurement.

Bringing literacy to life on the IWB: Learn how to use existing texts in exciting new ways on the IWB and discover a range of ideas for teaching writing, viewing, reading, spelling, handwriting and grammar.

Google Earth on the IWB: The skills taught in this workshop will also be suitable for teachers without an interactive whiteboard. Learn how to navigate around Google Earth and incorporate its many exciting features into maths, science, SOSE and literacy lessons.

Using an IWB in the Early Childhood classroom: Learn some practical strategies for using an interactive whiteboard with young children. Discover new resources that are playful and instructive for young children to use independently or in a group.
